Thelma (Geena Davis) has a selfish husband who beats her. In order to forget her troubles and have fun, she decides to have a women weekend with her best friend Louise (Susan Sarandon). During their trip, they go to a country pub where a man tries to rape her. Louise, for helping Thelma, kills the man, and they're too much afraid to call the police, thinking policemen won't understand their reasons. That's why they decide to move to Mexico. Then it's the beginning of the police hunt... How will it end ? You'll decide since this DVD movie has a few ends !
